IMF to Spend $50BN on Vaccinations

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has unveiled a $50BN plan to vaccinate 40% of the world’s population by the end of 2021 and 60% by 2022. This is supported by Pfizer, Moderna, and J&J, who pledged around 3.5BN of vaccine doses at discounted prices to middle and low-income countries. The campaign will also ensure widespread testing and tracing, and enforce public health measures in places where vaccine coverage is low.
